Buddy Programme

The Buddy Programme consists of Year 5 and 6 children who receive training as peer supporters. They are taught the skills of working as mediators in small groups, helping children in the yard who are lonely or unhappy as well as helping staff on duty with any hurt or injured children. The buddies become very helpful and responsible when they wear the characteristic ‘buddy caps’.

We have two Buddy Benches within the school, one located in the Foundation Yard and one located on the KS2 yard. There are also noticeboards in the changing rooms detailing the programme and who are the ‘Buddies’ for that day.
